These industries either manufacture or are the end users of plumbing fixtures, tubing, piping, water supply systems, radiant heating equipment, HVAC, fire suppression systems, various heat exchangers, water treatment components, etc. Failures can be caused or created by numerous different sources, some of these include improper installation, fatigue, corrosion (pitting, microbiological induced corrosion, stress corrosion, general thinning) erosion, manufacture induced defects, pressure overload, damaged pipe, etc. Component failures can cause a significant amount of property damage and financial loss. It is of utmost importance for MTi to quickly identify the root cause of the failure and deliver an accurate response in a timely manner.
Metallurgical Technologies (MTi) specializes in Forensic Failure Analysis and Corrosion Investigation of metal components. When the root cause of failure is identified, results are communicated immediately and recommendations can be made to help prevent future failures.
